The St David's mission is

    "To experience God's love and share it"

 

We are a church for people of all kinds with strong ministry through the age groups offering peace, hope and faith  to people from lots of different backgrounds who journey towards God in unique ways.

St David's belongs to two families of churches - the Presbyterian & Methodist denominations.
The congregation, however, is made up of people from all denominations and we do not record past affiliations

St David's has four types of worship Services
    Sunday 9.30am: A general service involving a mixture of more traditional
            and less traditional elements , this service is also child friendly
   

    Sunday 11am: Monthly contemporary services, this is also child friendly, and offers prayer ministry
           
    Mid Week Service designed for the older person - 1st and 3rd Wednesdays each month.
            This is followed by a shared lunch.
   

    Greenstreet Country Service {on the Ashburton Stavely Road} - 5 times a year.

9.30am     Advent service with guest Liz Whitehead from 'Christian World Service' an aid and development agency

11am        Contemporary Service with Guest Speaker Nikki Read from St David's talking about avoiding worry.

 

December 5th

9.30am    Advent Communion Service

 

December 13th

9.30am    Kidz church Christmas Pageant

 

December 20th

9.30am    Men's and Ladies Choirs combined to present a Choral Christmas Celebration

6pm        Ashburton Churches lead Christmas carol singing event in the oval at the domain

                {Wet weather venue is Holy Name Catholic church in Havelock Street}

 

December 27th

9.30am    End of year Service

 

January 3rd

9.30am        Communion service

11am           Combined churches service at the BBQ area in the domain

                        {Wet weather venue is St David's}

 

Christmas Eve Services

6pm        Children's Christmas Service

8pm        Greenstreet Country Christmas Celebration

11pm      Christmas Eve Service {drinks and cake until 11.15pm}

 

Christmas Day Service starts at 9.30am and will be around 40 minutes long.

 

Community Carol Singing

 

Midweek Service and Lunch:  11.30am

Both of these will include Christmas carol singing and are designed with the older person in mind

 

Our ministers are Revs Alan and Rachel Judge.

They have been with St David’s since January 2004  and share the care of their son Samuel. 
Alan and Rachel were reappointed in 2008 for a second term of ministry in Ashburton.

 ·       Promote healthy relationships among the people and leaders of St David’s.
